About Me

Currently working as a Systems Engineer out of the Midwest, USA. I primarily work with large scale healthcare databases running on Linux.

I enjoy a wide variety of math and science topics, and like to explore these through software implementations. I enjoy writing Rust the most, but I am very comfortable with Ruby and Go as general purpose languages. I find myself writing less Python these days, and exploring other languages like:

Haskell
Clojure
MUMPS (M for short)

A few subject areas I always find myself gravitating back to are:

Database performance
Planning or scheduling algorithms
Distributed systems

My background was in Physics & Mathematics, where I picked up computational methods as a research assistant studying the CFD behavior of COVID-19 transmission in waiting lines. My current industry interests are in Healthcare, Financial Tech, and Linux.
